General information about cruises

A cruise is a convenient and interesting way to enrich your travel experience and expand your list of destinations. You board the ship at the starting point of the selected cruise and begin a comfortable journey enhanced by culinary experiences, a wide selection of on-board programs and excursions.

There are many different types of ship services to offer – there are both simpler ones and cruises with very personal service. Therefore, when making a choice, it is always worth asking a travel consultant for advice and not relying only on information found on the Internet.

The price of the cruise is shaped by:

  • the duration of the selected cruise
  • selected cabin category
  • cabin size and number of passengers
  • ports visited during the cruise (route)
  • cruise line service standards
  • ship
  • valid promotions

What is included in the cruise price?

The cheapest advertised price may not be the best and cheapest option. When looking at the cruise price, you should always check what the price includes. Everything basic is included, but the exact content varies by cruise line. In most cases, the price includes accommodation in the selected cabin category, catering, entertainment. It is worth paying attention to whether the price includes, for example, beverage packages and their contents, service fees and their value, port taxes and other additional services.

Cruise companies themselves often advertise prices on their websites that do not include service charges (sometimes they are also called tips), although these are usually mandatory extras. They must be paid either when booking the trip or on the ship. If possible, the travel agency tries to include the service fees in the price so that the customer has an understanding of the total cost of the cruise.

When choosing a cruise, you should consider:

    • Which region interests me?
    • Do I prefer excursions or physical activity to just rest?
    • What level of service do I expect from a cruise?
    • What is my budget?
    • Which ship would suit my expectations?
    • How long am I willing to rest?
    • Do I care who my fellow passengers are?

Please note that there may be special restrictions on cruises for pregnant women and small children. If you are pregnant or traveling with a small family during the cruise, please let your travel consultant know.
